Campaign Update 4/24/01
This coming week, we have a slew of exciting campaign events. We need a strong presence of volunteers at each one. Please come out and show your support and have some fun in the process!!!

12:00 PM - Rocky takes his fight against SWEATSHOPS to City Hall as he urges the City Council to pass the "Anti-sweatshop" Bill @ City Hall Park
2:00 PM – Calling all sports fans!!! Olympic SOCCER SILVER MEDALLIST Gao Hong, now starting goalie for the professional women's soccer team NY Power will join Rocky to publicize the NY Power game in Nassau (go NY Power!) and call for more PUBLIC PARK SPACE and YOUTH PROGRAMS in the District. @ Jing Fong restaurant, 20 Elizabeth Street in Chinatown.
6:00 PM – Rocky will attend the Gay & Lesbian Independent Democrats annual awards dinner at Southgate Tower (371 Seventh Ave). Let us know if you would like to join him.
7:30 PM - The fourth of a string of CANDIDATES FORUM will once again feature Rocky at his best alongside his city council opponents; sponsored by the Village Independent Democrats @ The New School 65 Fifth Ave., betw 13 & 14 streets in the Machinist Room.
6:30 PM – NAAPAE, The National Association For Asian and Pacific American Education will honor Rocky Chin as the "LEADER OF THE 21st CENTURY" at its Annual Award Banquet Ceremony. Entertainment will be provided by Cornell Chan who is known as the "Asian Elvis Presley". Tickets are available through the campaign office.
5:00 PM – Asian American Federation of New York is celebrating a new era of Asian American political participation. They will introduce the 2001 Asian American candidates for City Council. By invitation only. Please RSVP to the Campaign by 4/27(a.m.).
